Art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

what are different materials that artist use to draw

Art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
paper, parchment, plastic, glass, metal, cloth, wood and any number of media.

And THAT"S just the 2D forms.

For sculpture, add stone, wood, clay, glass, metal, mud, cloth, paper, plastic, junkyard scrap and anything else that can hold it's shape.

For tools, consider, pencil, pen, brush, crayon, chalk, conte, charcoal, knife, fingers, chisel and hammer, light, fire and anything else that will, either, manipulate the media or mark it.

And I have not even gotten to the digital media, where my tools are my computer, graphics table, mouse, monitor and my software aplications which incude, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel, Flash, Dreamweaver, Dimensions, Streamline and a large assortment of clipart and stock photo discs.

Can't forget my trusty digital cameras, string, glue and glitter.

Reply:err... you could use different types of graphite pencils
Reply:gizell, you have the right person here. I believe I'm fairly unique with my drawing materials. i use pens and markers only, no brushes. i have over 5000 on hand but about 400 on my very large drawing table. Here's a brief list of recommended pens and markers. Pens- I do use sharpies but i also use for very fine lines(almost a pin point) micron .005 pens which come in many colors. For black i only use penstix india ink pens (permanant only) they are a very intense black. For markers my favorites are prismacolor markers. i have every color but a 24 marker set of the basic colors might be a good start. Make sure you try a blender marker which can give your illustrations a watercolor look. Paper-i only use one kind. You have to order it online from DickBlick.com ( the best and cheapest art supplier) It's called Borden and Riley Paris Bleedproof #234 paper for pens and markers. I hope this helps a lot of people.
