Any Art History buffs? I need a question or topic for my art paper~?

I have to write a paper for my Art history class so its extremely important that i do well, but I'm having problems brainstorming a possible topic. The handout says to choose any question or topic related to art history that intrigues you, and then write a source review of a book, website, and an article about my chosen topic. so the paper really isn't about the topic at all, but instead its more about how credible the sources are. so, i need a topic about art history that there are a lot of print and online sources about. Any suggestions!!?

How about the relationship of DaVinci to all of the conspiracy theories?

Edit: Try exploring where art stops and obscenity starts (if you feel there's a difference). Lots written about that!
Reply:Van Gogh is always a good subject to write about. This guy was brilliant, a grump, bad with women and drank a lot. Have fun.
Reply:Try writing about Vincent van Gogh. His mental illness and subsequent suicide should give you lots of material. Possibly discuss his illness, such as cutting off part of his ear, and write a modern day diagnosis or opinion based on modern psychology. Discuss his relationship with Paul Gauguin a leading Post-Impressionist painter.
