1) Art is an interpretation of reality. If a human isn't involved in the process, it's not art.





2) The driving need of history is accuracy (insofar as this is possible), so I would say it is not an artistic reason.





3) If the art is all you have of a culture, then you can't really fill in any cultural context. It stands alone.

Reply:1. they are all either art or design.. well depending on the quality of the photograph, if it's crap then it's just a photograph, but I am assuming it's good then it's art.

I'm just going on religious art however...there are lots of reasons to create art.
