How do you define "art"?

Many people have different ideas about what constitutes as art. When most people think of art, they tend to think of pretty paintings and cool-looking sculptures. However, there are also some people who consider blood spatters on a canvas and a picture of Jesus submersed in urine art, though most other people would probably disagree. What do you consider art? Also, if blood spatters on a canvas constitute as art, then isn't it possible that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING constitutes as art of some sort?

How do you define "art"?
Art is an expression through whatever format gets to people. Its evolved from cavern art to modern music. Everything in between is still true but the way it represents an era changes.
Reply:Art is that which connects one more potently to one's soul and /or Source, no matter what form it takes :))
Reply:art is basically something that you think is pretty or has "energy, hate,creed,love,mind,happiness,lonliness... in it. like theatre.that's art because it express what people see and believe in. and dancing that too. poetry that art as well. it's sort of what express themselves as each other or as indiviuals. showing others what they believe in or what thier talent is all about..Kinda in between of showing off and being expressful.. got it?
