Is it possible to model for nude art and be a Christian?

Is it possible to model for nude art and be a Christian? One of my really good friends models for nude art. I'm not going to lie, she has a really nice body with the hour glass shape and is really fit and in good shape. I can see why she models for nude art, though one thing about her is that she's a Christian. I asked her if that goes against her religion to model for nude art and she says it doesn't. She tells me that art is a form of expression and that nude art is a beautiful form of art that has been around for many years. She has invited me to some of her art sessions and from what i noticed it seems as though she models for erotic nude art, with her posing with other female models in sexual erotic artistic poses. Is it possible to model for nude art and still remain a faithful Christian?

I agree 100% with Naturist Jo! I am a christian naturist Bob, but don't do nude modelling, but would if I were asked! I just enjoy being clothes free at home or on a nude beach with lots of others. So what does that have to do with religion. Too many people associate sex and nudity together! Yes, it is possible to be nude and not have sex...believe it or not! Try it and you will find that it is great!

A Christian represents their faith and their God in all they do, and it doesn't sound like that is what is going on.

Its mainly personal too. I'm sure alot of Christians have opposite views about modeling nude and being fine with it.





I don't have a problem with it, as a Christian, if it is for true art.
Reply:Well it depends what this is. Are they pictures or is she modeling for an art class and being painted, Were are these pictures/paintings going?





If it is true art then it is fine, but if it is porn then she needs to get out of that profession.
Reply:Yes Christians can be naturists, nude models etc. There is nothing in the Bible against nudity. Sure "indecent acts" are another issue. What has happened over the years is some religious leaders have had a bad attitude and created dogma against all sorts of things, including nudity. So it is possible for nudity to be agains a particular sect, but it is not biblical based. Perhaps she should challenge her church, make an issue over it, there is nothing wrong with a Christian being a nude model.
