Any one have suggestions on art?

I have not been able to get my book for my art class, since I am not a big art person I was wondering if someone may be able to point me in the right direction on where to find pieces of art (pictures online) that represent the following categories?

I am not looking for smart a** answers, I am just trying to be pointed in the right direction. I have not received my book yet and I do not know what these would be.

Art for communicating information

Art for day to day living

Art for the spirit

Art for personal expression

Art for social %26amp; political purposes

Thank you.

Reply:try museums websites...i had to go to museums for school and write about works of art. it was helpful that the museums had works of art on their web page. i did the Huntington library. also try looking up famous artist bios there are probably tons of websites. You could probably find one or two pictures that cover all of these categories. Art for the spirit try something from the Renaissance...like the sisteen chapel. for day to day living something by Norman Rockwell...art for social and political purposes try the statue of liberty or some of those paintings in a history book or a political cartoon. personal expression can be anything and doesn't all art communicate information.
Reply:look for anything related to banksy - a grafitti artist. He pretty much covers what you need.
