I LOVE all forms of creative arts and I wanted to understand just what makes man so interested in ART for ARTs SAKE and does it have to do with LOVE. I think there is a corelation
Art for ARTS SAKE. what makes man so creative and artistic what does our art EXPRESS ?
In general, I'd conclude that humanity is the species that self-expresses, and art is one of our forms of self-expression.
I concur with John Dewey in the ultimate value of art. The artist uses the medium to try to recreate or suggest rhythms of safety and danger (harmony-dissonance/symmetry-imbalance/c... that reflect the more memorable, valued, cherished moments of her/his own life. The audience responds to those rhythms as they might relate to similar memorable/cherished/valued moments in their lives.
Since love is one of our particularly cherished moments, that's the correlation.
