Band, art, or Bible?

Band, Art, Bible? AAGG!!!?

In school, next year I have to choose a subject, and I want to do either Band, Art, or Bible.

UP SIDE ABOUT BAND:

For me band is really fun, and for me it's a fun thing to do, and class is really fun.

DOWN SIDE:

The teachers sometimes get strict, and give us huge lectures and make us do pushups when we don't behave. Most of my friends say they wont do it next year.

UP SIDE ABOUT ART:

I love drawing and my friends say I'm awesome at it. The teacher gives us some good techinques, and helps us improve.

DOWN SIDE:

The teacher talks FOREVER and waists most of our time repeating everything about ten, fifteen times. She insults your art work if it's not the Mona Lisa, and she's really strict. She's always running around the room doing worthless s**t so if you need to ask her something you have to wait for ten minutes!

UPSIDE ABOUT BIBLE:

I love learning about God, and I love the bible stories. It's super cool because I can always talk to the teacher like we're friends.

Additional Details

My friends want to do bible, and everything is so awesome, and she lets us do really fun activities, and projects. (Like how long you can go without saying the word "I")

DOWNSIDE:

The teacher's super awesome, but she sometimes gets a wee bit strict if you don't remember the names of people, or the chapter the story's on. I'm not good with names or chapters, and sometimes it's hard for me to listen to every word she says.

So that's my Q. Which do you think I should do? Band, Art, or Bible. If you could give me any advice with the downsides, that'd be super awesome.

Thanks, and have a wonderful Grandparents day!

(Also I love the insturment I play in band.

Saxophones ROCK)

Band, art, or Bible?
Bible....even though the downside is a strict teacher..imagine how much more comfortable you will feel in knowing and what you have learned about God....
Reply:The one sure way to "know" the LEAST about "God" is to be a fundamentalist christian. Guaranteed !! Report It

Reply:art
Reply:The other downside aspect of bible is the brainwashing and groupthink that go along with it, if you're not already aware of these facets.

If the choice is between art and creativity, and becoming "sheepified", i'd always vote for art. God is always present in creative and expansive endeavors. And He is not fond of your allowing yourself to become a willing clone by being "taught" the only "correct" views on "religion".

Just my POV, based on mere decades of experience :))
Reply:I'm not religious, but it seems like the Bible class would be the most fun becuase of the teacher...
Reply:Honestly Band sounds the most appealing i mean whats worse, a few bits of excercises (which are good for you btw) or having a granny yell in your ear?
Reply:Bible looks ledge xD
Reply:Out of the three, bible sounds like the most fun class, or at least the one you would enjoy the most.
Reply:Bible, its a fun easy going class - plus you get to learn about God, its a class that helps you in life
Reply:It seems you have a problem with authority.

every teacher involved in this is apparently "strict"

and i would therefore steer you away from the Bible and ultimate wrath of God.

i would suggest taking extra English tuition.

Waste is not spelt waist.

unless that was some sort of fruedian slip.

in which case, the Bible might well be right up your street.

Ask your "super awesome" teacher what happened between Lot and his daughters in the mountains.

ha ha ha.

Yeah, do Bible!
Reply:Of course I don't know, but I'd go with band - you can read the bible anytime, but it is rarer to be able to play music with a group.

They make you do pushups in band? Why kind of music can emerge from this sort of regimentation, other than military marches?
