IS pop surrealism or pop art considered to be fine art?

I am a16 year old aspiring artists and i love pop art espicially those of mark ryden.I recently read a article about how pop surrealism isn't recognizzed b the art world and major galleries. I enjoy creating pop art but i Am also talented at hyper realism and realism art, such as portraits, landscapes, and still life's. would i be more successful sticking to the realism genre? Is pop art getting more popular?Do you consider pop art to be afine art?i know i have alot of questions.just curious.

IS pop surrealism or pop art considered to be fine art?
Sure. Why not? What is art? What not? What joke. What way? Why not. Sure...
Reply:Pop Art in the vein of Andy Warhol, Lichtenstein and others is surely considered pop art by the world art scene. However, contemporary artists like Mark Ryden have yet to be acknowleged for their talent, and left to their genre "pop surrealism", without breaking into the "fine art" world. However, this shouldn't stop you from pursuing your interests within this genre. In fact, I would presume to say someone like yourself who can easily paint in several styles has a long art career ahead of them regardless of what they choose to specialize in. Don't worry at this point about what genre would be most "successful", do what you love. That's the best advice I can give you.

Does this look good
