Art PHILOSOPHY/ Intelligence PHILOSOPHY?

hi, if you would be so kind as to take a few minutes to put some helpful answers in here to help my project, it will be greatly appreciated. thank you :)

+define art - what is art?

+define beauty -what is beauty?

+does art have to be beautiful?

+how do we use art in our everyday life?

+are humans clever machines?

+if yes, what is the evidence

+if no, what is the evidence

+can humans be art

+will human intelligence be ousted by artificial intelligence one day? why do you think so?

Art PHILOSOPHY/ Intelligence PHILOSOPHY?
- is something created with the intention of being art

- A response to something seen or heard that fits into a predetermined set of aesthetic principles

- no, art is not contracted so as to explore only one varible

- to signify, to draw attention to a representation of something that embodies the principles of art (which are infinite) i.e beauty-anti beauty-grotesque-attraction-replusion- cultural perception of beauty- how beauty is exploited- how beauty is used to manipulate consumers- beauty in terms of the male gaze- history of beauty........etc...

-can biological organisms be referred to as machines? I'm not sure???

-Humans can be art if it's the intention of the artist for it to be so

check out Australian artist 'stellarc'

- I don't believe AI can compete with the human mind, because of the complexity and the vast unknolwn variables inherent within the mind.
Reply:1 %26amp; 2. To define it, is to limit it.

Humans are not as clever as they think they are. Ask Kasparov. Better yet, ask Deep Blue.

but how much i need to type?

sorry
Reply:There are different philosophies regarding art.

Some say that the success of art can be measured by how well it triggers emotion. Others say that universal traits span generations and these are what define something as beautiful. My personal opinion is that art cannot be defined w/ strict boundaries.

Art is opinion,

as well as personal interpretation.

Surely that which I believe and feel doesn't apply to you, Art is something that is intimate and varies from person to person.
Reply:If I have to answer all these questions thoroughly, I might as well hand in the assignment under my own name.

art- that which is primarily used for expression, not function

beauty- in the eye of the beholder

art and beauty- no

everyday use of art- depends on circumstances; i.e. home, gallery, museum, public spaces or buildings, offices etc.

are humans clever machines- we are not machines

evidence- machines have no feelings

can humans be art- yes

last one- no, only complimented, as machines can only develop as far as we can design them to.
Reply:For the true artist, it is their duty to show the world through their eyes and interpretation. Everything has perfect beauty at least from one angle of view (sometimes only an artist's view - saddly, that's the world for you). Art is all around us in everything created. Machines will never be able to jump to insight and vision no matter who programs them. Artificial intelligence may supercede human, but will never be able to be truly 'artistic'.
